When I need it most, I admit my life has become unmanageable. There comes a time when I must admit I am powerless over something and that it is destroying lives, mainly my own. I admit and I surrender to a HIGHER POWER who has the power to do for me what I am unable to do for myself, and that is restore my life to sanity. Here is a song that puts a focus on my idea of a change: Whatever You're Doing (Something Heavenly) - Sanctus Real

Yes, so then there is a surrender of my life and will to my Higher Power and trust that someone else is really in charge. In my case I believe the Creator of the Universe, GOD himself ought to be able to handle the likes of me. I need that, someone who can see the beginning and end all at once and who won't fall for my tricky tricks!
Sure, I must decide to make this journey on a path all by myself but what I don't know today is that there is a community of support to keep me company on my new path of sobriety for tomorrow!
How about this, take this test and see if you want to come with me on this journey of new life....

In Memory: ANAHEIM, Calif. (April 9) - Los Angeles Angels pitcher Nick Adenhart and two others were killed by a suspected drunk driver Thursday,

Ever heard the term: Quit shooting yourself in the foot?
Often the bystanders who watch the insanity of addiction unfold upon those they love just wish they'd have the sense to put the gun down and "stop shooting your foot if you don't like the consequences! At least don't whine about foot pain and blame others for your own doing!"

It can be so hard to bare the watching of someone in self destruct and everyone can see the "hand writing on the wall" but the addict!

It is by the grace of God our troubles catch up to us so we can face the painful reality of consequences for our own choices. Owning up to the bad choices we have made and surrendering to God to be our sole HELP in time of trouble is our only hope for a miracle of true recovery. Hopefully after many prayers by those who love and care about us we chose surrender and reach out for recovery before we harm our self or others.

The Angel's pitcher who just lost his life and 2 others at the foolish decision of a young kid who chose to drive while under the influence. He had already lost his license to alcohol abuse and now he will feel the pain of killing 3 innocent people because he was a dumbass again. Let's choose life, God and 12 step recovery while we can before the bad thing happens.

It is already bad enough to hurt everyone else around us by our addiction but it will be so quickly forgiven and forgotten as we make the choice for life and sober living today. There is hope. God is with us to lead us out no matter how deep we are in when we finally turn to him. He has the power to help us recover when we clearly do not!
Call that number for AA or NA today! It is free! It works if you work it!
